Elves
The baby room includes a day room, separate changing room and a sleep room. Each baby has a different routine and we believe that we have created an environment which will cater for their differing needs.
The babies enjoy taking part in various messy activities including pasta play; whipped cream play; and even chocolate play! They also enjoy doing art activities such as painting and free drawing.
Wizards
The toddlers have a room off the main central indoor/outdoor play area. The toddler room consists of a messy area, a home corner and a quiet area, where they read books and have a bit of "down time".
Wizards take part in a wide variety of messy activities, such as cornflour, sand, water, baked beans and spaghetti play.
They have a separate nappy changing room, which includes a disabled toilet, potties and changing unit.
Merlins
The pre-school children also have a room just off the central indoor/outdoor play area. They have their own suite of toilets for their sole use. The benefit of this is that the children learn to gain independence and confidence in readiness for school life.
The added bonus of this room is that it has access to a small external space which is used for sand and water play along with small gardening projects.
The babies are frequently taken out for walks in and around the village where the reception they receive from the people in Barnt Green is very warm and friendly.
